FOCUS ON INGREDIENTS: PISTACHIO MILK ACCORD

The pistachio milk accord is a accord created by the perfumer. It offers a note of almond, warm milk, roasted, green and salty, melted into a cloud of creamy notes. According to legend, the Queen of Sheba reportedly decreed that pistachios were a food exclusively reserved for royalty and prevented the people from cultivating pistachios for their personal consumption.

In the first century AD, Emperor Vitellius introduced this popular fruit to the capital, Rome. Originally cultivated in the warm climates of the Middle East, East Asia and the Mediterranean, the pistachio is one of the oldest nut trees. In the past, they were used as a dye but also as a remedy for minor ailments. This seed is called the Persian Almond due to its origin. It was only at the beginning of the 20th century that pistachio cultivation began in America, particularly in California, due to the favourable climate.
