The matcha accord is created by the perfumer. It brings a herbal, green note that is slightly bitter yet soft, with earthy and umami nuances blended into a cloud of creamy notes. Matcha, a finely ground green tea powder, has been an integral part of Japanese culture for centuries. Used in the Japanese tea ceremony, it is prized for its health benefits and distinctive taste.
The tradition of matcha dates back to the Tang dynasty in China, but it is in Japan that matcha has become central to culture and ritual. Matcha is also used in a variety of modern desserts and drinks, adding a touch of sophistication and wellbeing.
