MANI
FESTO

It's a fact: today, perfume is more than ever an accessory of ostentation, a social attribute.

For our part, we believe that the "exclusive, rare and precious" perfume has become totally commonplace, and even illusory, endlessly reproducing materialistic scenarios and convoluted, even pretentious, narratives.

Because we wanted to re-establish a sense of justice and eliminate the superfluous, we created Obvious. A perfume house whose raw, bohemian beauty had to be as clear as it was obvious.

PERSON
NALITY

passion

We are adepts of what might be called "the olfactory clear line". Complexity serves our artistic vision without being a goal in itself.

spontaneity

But we also like to live life to the full. That's why our creations are fragrant evidences of punchy, lively energy, sometimes with a touch of nostalgia.

commitment

We go all out with our formulas. We're also committed to eco-responsibility, where we really do our utmost (without greenwashing, of course).

THE
CReator

"I love people, their vision, their life stories. It’s this appetite that has guided my path. I first studied philosophy, and then my journey veered toward perfume.

When creating Obvious Parfums, I drew inspiration from Descartes’ notion of evidence, that moment of encountering truth without the need for complex explanation.

Beauty does not need to be explained; everything added around a perfume tends to conceal more than it reveals.

True luxury is made of time, preserved nature, and introspection. A nature that gave me so much as a child in Corsica.

The city also plays a strong role in my work, especially Paris, where I have always lived. I experience it like a village, between a few districts where I feel at home: Le Marais, the Bastille neighborhood.

This nonconformism is an integral part of my creations. Whether at sea or around a hidden street corner, it’s life that inspires me. I seek to translate, through scent, that fleeting moment or emotion born within us, in order to awaken it in others.

Always with a touch of distance, because it’s from that very shift that the beauty of things emerges."
