The pistachio milk accord is created by the perfumer. It brings together notes of almond, warm milk, toasted and green facets, and a hint of salt, all enveloped in a cloud of creamy notes. According to legend, the Queen of Sheba declared pistachios a food reserved exclusively for royalty and forbade her people from growing them for their own consumption.
In the first century AD, Emperor Vitellius introduced this popular nut to Rome. Originally grown in the warm climates of the Middle East, East Asia and the Mediterranean, the pistachio is one of the oldest nut trees. Pistachios were once used as a dye and as a remedy for minor ailments. This seed is known as the Persian almond because of its origins. Pistachio cultivation did not begin in America, particularly California, until the early 20th century, thanks to its favourable climate.
